What Does It Mean to Foster?

Fostering means opening your home to a rescued dog or cat and caring for them as if they were your own—just for a little while. This includes providing food, shelter, basic training, and lots of love. We cover all veterinary expenses and offer support every step of the way.

Volunteers are the lifeblood of our mission. At G&C’s Advocacy and Rescue Corporation, we rely on compassionate, dedicated individuals to help us save and improve the lives of shelter pets. What Volunteers Do

There’s a role for everyone! Our volunteers help with:

• Animal care: Walking dogs, socializing cats, feeding, and grooming
• Transport: Driving pets to vet appointments, foster homes, or adoption events
• Events: Assisting at adoption fairs, fundraisers, and community outreach
• Administrative support: Helping with paperwork, scheduling, and communications
• Marketing & media: Creating content, managing social media, and spreading awareness
